Pennygrove is a no-spend garden app built to keep your data private. In short: your grove lives on your device. There is no sign-up, no email, no name — and your check-in history never leaves your phone. One optional feature (Friends) sends a small amount of data to our server; it is described below.
Your check-ins, streaks, saved amounts, and unlocked plants are stored only on your device. We never receive your day-by-day check-in records.
If you open the Friends screen, the app creates an anonymous account on our server so you can invite friends and compare streaks. You are never asked for an email, name, or phone number.
What is sent: a randomly generated device ID and account ID, and your ranking figures — current streak, best streak, total saved, currency code, and your category (a preset name such as coffee, or simply custom).
What is never sent: your individual check-in records, the name you typed for a custom category, and the nicknames you give friends. Those nicknames are stored only on your own phone — your friends never see them.
If you never open the Friends screen, no account is created and nothing is sent.
You can delete this account at any time: Settings → Delete my data inside the app removes both your on-device data and your server account. See Data deletion.
Pennygrove is free and supported by ads through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob’s SDK may access device identifiers and advertising data. If you allow tracking (via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt), ads may be personalized; if you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. AdMob’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
You can report a specific ad from Settings → Support → “Report an ad” inside the app.
“Pennygrove Forever” (remove ads) is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on your device. We never see your payment details; the store handles the transaction under its own privacy terms.
Pennygrove is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
You can export your history (CSV) or permanently delete all of your data at any time from Settings inside the app. Deleting removes your grove and history from your device and deletes your Friends account from our server. If you have already uninstalled the app, see Data deletion.

Pennygrove는 데이터를 기기 안에 두는 무지출 정원 앱입니다. 가입·이메일·이름이 없고, 체크인 기록은 기기를 떠나지 않습니다. 선택 기능인 ‘친구’를 쓸 때만 최소한의 데이터가 서버로 전송되며, 아래에 그대로 적었습니다.
체크인·스트릭·절약액·식물 기록은 오직 기기에만 저장됩니다. 날짜별 체크인 기록은 저희에게 전송되지 않습니다.
친구 화면을 열면 초대·랭킹을 위해 서버에 익명 계정이 만들어집니다. 이메일·이름·전화번호는 묻지 않습니다.
전송되는 것: 무작위로 생성된 기기 ID·계정 ID, 그리고 랭킹에 쓰는 수치(현재 스트릭·최고 스트릭·누적 절약액·통화 코드·카테고리). 카테고리는 프리셋 이름(예: coffee) 또는 custom이라는 값 하나입니다.
전송되지 않는 것: 날짜별 체크인 기록, 직접 입력한 카테고리 이름, 친구에게 붙인 별명. 별명은 내 기기에만 저장되며 친구에게 보이지 않습니다.
친구 화면을 열지 않으면 계정이 만들어지지 않고 아무것도 전송되지 않습니다. 삭제는 앱 설정 → 내 데이터 삭제에서 기기 데이터와 서버 계정이 함께 지워집니다(데이터 삭제 안내).
무료 앱으로 Google AdMob 광고로 운영됩니다. 광고 표시를 위해 AdMob SDK가 기기 식별자·광고 데이터에 접근할 수 있습니다. iOS는 ATT 동의, Android는 첫 실행 시 동의 화면으로 선택합니다. 거부해도 비맞춤 광고가 표시되며 모든 기능은 그대로 쓸 수 있습니다. 처리는 Google 개인정보처리방침을 따릅니다.
“Pennygrove Forever”(광고 제거)는 App Store(Apple) 또는 Google Play(Google)가 처리하며 결제 정보는 저희가 볼 수 없습니다. 기록 내보내기(CSV)·삭제는 앱 설정에서 가능합니다. 문의: dl.studio2025@gmail.com.
